Silkscreen Printing Or Vertical Wall Printing For The Museum Walls?
April 26, 2024If you are considering purchasing a vertical wall inkjet printer, you will certainly be confused by the printer parameters announced by various manufacturers. When you deem the print quality to be the most important factor, you may notice a data point when comparing parameter tables from different manufacturers: DPI.
DPI stands for dots per inch, which, for an inkjet wall printer, indicates how many ink droplets there are per square foot. For instance, 1440 DPI means there are 1440 ink droplets, and 2880 DPI means there are 2880 ink droplets.
In general, a higher DPI typically means greater accuracy, resulting in better quality prints. However, DPI is not the only factor that determines print quality.
To showcase the printing quality more intuitively, we printed a photo of a beautiful woman's face. This allows us to see more details.
The photo was printed with a precision of 1440 DPI. Overall, the color reproduction is very realistic, and the clarity is also very high, leaving us with a profound impression.
Let's look at two details, one is the detail of the hair. Printing high quality hair requires highly precise machinery to ensure clarity, not just high DPI. We need to see each hair, and eyelash clearly, and all hair must not be blurry.

Another detail is the gradient colors on the face. There are shadows on the cheeks, and the color transition looks natural. This does not require a very high DPI, but providing variable ink droplets is an important factor in displaying gradient colors.
In future articles and videos, I will detail the factors that affect the quality of wall printing and how to improve the printing quality and stability of vertical wall inkjet printers. I hope this information can help you better choose a vertical wall inkjet printer that suits your needs.
